Stars -- In Our Bedroom After The War

This disc has been talked about a lot on the "Set Yourself On Fire" thread, but it deserves its own thread. I'm feeling this new disc much more than SYOF (which is a very good album, but I never understood why so many consider it a “modern classic”). So far, The Ghost of Genova Heights is the standout for me. “In Our Bedroom” is front-loaded, I think, with things tailing off considerably after Track No. 7 (Personal). Still, it’s a very good album, perhaps a bit more rock-oriented/less dance-oriented than their other discs.

The formal release date for “In Our Bedroom” is in late September, but Arts & Crafts has made it available to digital services months early. What do you think of it?

I love it, and agree that it's front-loaded, but MUCH less so than the last album. Also, I think the title track is awful, possibly, as with the one that's just Torquil and a piano. Overall, though, their best album.
