Not the best of their 80s editions, I must say. Voting "Trick Of The Night" which may be Bananarama's best ever song.

I see no obvious favourite here, but we've learned from earlier ILM polls there is a big legion of UB40 fans lurking and voting in polls.

voted for Erasure.

Mark G, Tuesday, 14 August 2007 08:27 (eighteen years ago)

I voted for Westworld. They had a few decent songs, as I remember.

16 tracks? that's short. weren't they always double albums? on vinyl anyway. is this the compact disc 'highlights' version of the tape/vinyl? i guess seeing as it's '86/'87 then it must be.

Aw, man, Sonic Boom Boy's a great track. Sonic Boom - a boom boy HUH!

Despite owning all the Now albums up to about Now 20, there's always one track on each of these lists that I can't remember AT ALL. "Cross That Bridge" by the Ward Brothers - GREAT BIG BLANK.

ailsa, Tuesday, 14 August 2007 08:59 (eighteen years ago)

"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it!!
If there's a problem we'll go round it!!!"

the rest I forget.

Mark G, Tuesday, 14 August 2007 09:02 (eighteen years ago)

Silvermac is the only other song I remember by Westworld, and it was great.

nate woolls, Tuesday, 14 August 2007 09:08 (eighteen years ago)

XXXXP: If you count the tracks you'll find there are way more than 16. The CD was just 16 though. The first double Now CD was number 10.

Geir Hongro, Tuesday, 14 August 2007 09:12 (eighteen years ago)

For school-days-nostalgia reasons I remember this one fondly, though the individual tracks are quite cack.
I think my fifteen year old self would've gone for the mighty Mental As Anything, so I'll vote that.
