Song I.D. - from the "You're Gonna Miss Me: A Film About Roky Erickson" Documentary

I was watching the movie last night and I heard a song on there that I can't find. I'm pretty sure it's an 'Elevators' song, not an 'Aliens' song.

It's somewhat in the beginning in the movie, at the 13:35 mark, when Roky's mother is showing her pictures and she shows one of Roky playing guitar, and then the music starts.

It's a very R&B based song, in the middle he starts "Do You Feel It, Feel It, Feel It. AAAHHHH!"

It's pretty amazing sounding. PLEASE HELP ME OUT.

If anyone knows where I can find it or if you can YSI it, I would definately appreciate it.

That song (The Spades "We Sell Soul" which is faster and tougher than "Don't Fall Down" but, yeah, pretty much the same song) can be found on the International Artists label comp Epitaph for a Legend, along with some Red Krayola rarities and stuff by other artists on the label. It's a worthwhile comp, there was a Get Back reissue of it five or six years ago.

The Spades early (jug-less) version of "You're Gonna Miss Me" is on that comp, as well.

I think We Sell Soul also shows up as an unlisted bonus track on the LP version of Roky's All That May Do My Rhyme.

six years pass...

Argh. I just watched this documentary on Netflix.

Sumner is such an interesting character and his willingness to help Roky was pretty amazing.
