Why do 3 Doors Down get on all of these comps? (I've never even heard them)

Herman G. Neuname, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 22:38 (eighteen years ago)

"Rock Your Body," but "Excuse Me Miss" is the best Jay-Z single of the period.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 22:40 (eighteen years ago)

Yet again, Justin Timberlake...Admittedly, I only remember half of these songs...They were all bland. But "Send the Pain Below"? "The Road I'm On"? "Serenity"? "In This Diary"? "Feel"? "Pump It Up"? Huh?

Tape Store, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 22:43 (eighteen years ago)

Another Justin vote for me too...not a great selection for this one either, but I really like the Robbie Williams song (although I certainly never heard it on the radio at the time) and the Stacie Orrice song.

musically, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 22:48 (eighteen years ago)

I really don't want to have to vote for Coldplay.

Curt1s Stephens, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 23:25 (eighteen years ago)

If "Stacy's Mom" was on this one, I'd have been tempted.

Steve Shasta, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 23:26 (eighteen years ago)

...JT again...

stephen, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 23:28 (eighteen years ago)

JT's gonna eventually compile a singles comp that's gonna sell millions as a catalogue item.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 23:37 (eighteen years ago)

joe budden. the jay-z remix is fucking killer.

Jordan Sargent, Thursday, 16 August 2007 04:14 (eighteen years ago)

Anybody remember the Lisa Marie Presley song?

Mr. Snrub, Thursday, 16 August 2007 04:19 (eighteen years ago)

My God...A Timberlake singles comp?! It's already classic:

Gone
Like I Love You
Cry Me a River
Rock Your Body
Senorita
Love Don't Love Me
Signs
Sexy Back
My Love
Give It To Me
What Goes Around...Comes Around
Summer Love
LoveStoned/I Think That She Knows
maybe Nite Runner? not Ayo Technology
Candy Shop, I think

Man, what a run! (don't mention "I'm Lovin' It," as promo singles shouldn't count)

Tape Store, Thursday, 16 August 2007 04:33 (eighteen years ago)

^ I even left out "Where is the Love?"

Tape Store, Thursday, 16 August 2007 04:36 (eighteen years ago)

"Girl All The Bad Guys Want"!

da croupier, Thursday, 16 August 2007 04:38 (eighteen years ago)

if not "Pump It Up"...

all I remember about the Lisa Marie song is that she references the grave in the back yard and lets out some pleghmy "heh HEHH"s at the end.

da croupier, Thursday, 16 August 2007 04:39 (eighteen years ago)

I remember the Lisa Marie video more than the song itself...She was walking on a dusty road? With streetlights?

Tape Store, Thursday, 16 August 2007 04:40 (eighteen years ago)

this has to be the most dire rock section of any of these comps.

Jordan Sargent, Thursday, 16 August 2007 04:42 (eighteen years ago)

oh please, "Clocks" is a juggernaut, and came out before Coldplay was insufferable anyway

but I really, really want to vote for "Lights Out"... so... much... Ballardy... goodness...

rogermexico., Thursday, 16 August 2007 05:32 (eighteen years ago)

ron mexico> rogermexico

Jordan Sargent, Thursday, 16 August 2007 05:39 (eighteen years ago)

do i know you?

rogermexico., Thursday, 16 August 2007 05:40 (eighteen years ago)

'Rock your Body' was the 1st JT single that I actually liked so I'm voting for that, or the sublime 'Clocks'.

Christyles, Thursday, 16 August 2007 07:00 (eighteen years ago)

"Clocks" obv. Not that it is any better than most Coldplay songs though.

Geir Hongro, Thursday, 16 August 2007 08:39 (eighteen years ago)

I usually vote these by imagining it's a jukebox, one quarter, what do you want to hear off this selection.

It's Rob

Mark G, Thursday, 16 August 2007 08:55 (eighteen years ago)

Ugh. This is awful.

1. Justin Timberlake : "Rock Your Body"
2. Joe Budden : "Pump It Up"
3. Jay-Z featuring Pharrell : "Excuse Me Miss"
4. Sum 41 : "The Hell Song"
5. Jennifer Lopez : "I'm Glad"

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Saturday, 18 August 2007 23:06 (eighteen years ago)

Bowling for Soup : "Girl All the Bad Guys Want" 2

Jordan Sargent, Saturday, 18 August 2007 23:09 (eighteen years ago)

This series of polls really needs to be archived on its own page somewhere to make for easier cross-comparison - is this the clearest landslide yet?

Doctor Casino, Sunday, 19 August 2007 04:32 (eighteen years ago)

I think the "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" win was the strongest so far.

musically, Sunday, 19 August 2007 04:37 (eighteen years ago)

two years pass...
