I'd never heard this extended mix - really sweet, so thanks to you.
― EZ Snappin, Thursday, 16 August 2007 21:00 (eighteen years ago)
it looks like its just the LP cut.
i'm guessing you've only heard the 45 version?
― gr8080, Thursday, 16 August 2007 21:04 (eighteen years ago)
i'm really surprised this is Curtis. doesn't hardly sound like his voice
― jaxon, Thursday, 16 August 2007 21:24 (eighteen years ago)
grady, how does it feel being the only person on the island listening to disco?
Yeah, I've only heard the single on a best-of compilation. The 7" is under five minutes and doesn't have as much space to it; like many single mixes it sacrifices the slow build for instant sweetness, with everything right there at the beginning.

can we turn this thread into the thread where you suggest what tracks i play as a warm-up dj for a PT party? because i'm thinking "Love Me, Love Me Now" - Curtis Mayfield will be one.
― gr8080, Friday, 17 August 2007 00:00 (eighteen years ago)
ok nm then.
― gr8080, Friday, 17 August 2007 01:16 (eighteen years ago)
I think disco Curtis is way underrated, for example Do It All Night has some wonderful extended disco tunes. They're less subdued and more string heavy than the one you linked to though.
