I still can't decide though.

Predictably, I'm gonna say Art of Noise... only because all of their ZTT/Horn era has proven over time to be a huge influence on dance and electronic music.. and even some of the Art of Noise post-Horn as well.

True, "Two Tribes", "Relax", et al have far more bombast and life than any of AON's hits ever did, but "Legs", for example, still gives me shivers, whereas the Frankie songs make me think "aaah, the 80s".

Ah good one. Tough call ta boot. Both responsible for some great singles. I'm going to have to go with Frankie GTH, though, as they had a bit more personality.

What I said on the other thread:

Both have a couple of really stellar, amazing singles with lots of just-as-good-if-not-better remixes, a debut album which basically equals the singles plus filler but is still great nonetheless, then a rapid tail-off. AON's tail-off is much better than FGTH's but FGTH's big hits are like AON with more beats, more hooks, more bombast. Also the same people did a lot of the work on both bands so really it comes down to Holly Johnson vs Anne Dudley and again it's too close to call for me. Wasn't ZTT ace?

I can't decide on the basis of the music. So I'm going to have to let the sleeves decide - *goes home to compare them*

PROPAGANDA.

PROPAGANDA

>Now there's a band!
>I love FGTH,but AON win...

Noise, noise, noise. "Close-Up" is still THE, T-H-E, production bomb. I mean, virtually my entire aesthetic is built on the groundwork of _Into Battle_.

But Propaganda--mmm.
