I don't have any other examples, but wondering if there are many more.

i don't remember for sure, but is that actually a harmony vocal? i thought it was just double- or multi-tracking of the same melody line?

maybe on -TUR (and -VARD?), but not otherwise?

I don't know about "inexplicable," but those big harmony choruses are what draws me to some Journey hits, like "Girl Can't Help It," and "I'll Be Alright Without You." It seems to me there were lots of those big harmonies in 70s West Coast pop/rock.

I can't think of many contemporary examples of those types of harmonies, though. I guess some stuff from Midlake's Trials of Van Occupanther qualifies (e.g., "Roscoe," "Head Home"). Others? I love that stuff, so I'd happily seek it out based on recommendations.

What's "Ventura Boulevard"? Unless you mean "Ventura Highway"?

My favorite example of this is on Rosanne Cash's "Seven Year Ache" when she sings the line that is something like "splitting your dice to be someone you're not"...the harmony comes in on the "you're not", and it's the only time in the song it comes in like that.

This is assuming I understand what you're talking about ("Free Fallin'", right?). If not, please disregard.
