True, Hurting, I agree... but "Chand Phir Nikla" is a rarer song. The majority of stuff on there is not exactly standard fare. If you read the first post you'll get a sense of where I'm going with it.

I should've qualified it with "lesser known" to many westerners... which is unfortunately true even of Lata. Asha because she was just that much younger got tied into the whole world music thing, I think.

well nothing wrong with spreading that stuff in any case, so keep it up.

one comment -- since you're using a third party filesharing service to post, I'd suggest presenting each post's batch of music as a single zipped file. waiting 30 seconds to navigate two pages & a popup for each individual song is prohibitive

the khmer oldies blog you linked presented a bizarre connection for me -- the Chhun Vanna song 'Tonle Solo' was covered in 1991 by my favorite Japanese band, the Haniwa All Stars -- it's on their live DVD
