Obviously "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" is divisive but probably makes the cut, so go ahead and tell me what 9 other Rod Stewart songs are essential.

"Young Turks" "Mandolin Wind" "Reason To Believe" "True Blue" "I'd Rather Go Blind" "Baby Jane" "The Killing of Georgie, Pt. I" "Maggie May" "People Get Ready" "Crazy About Her"
I have to stop -- I could easily triple this list. So many great songs -- the only boomer rocker to adapt without much noticeable effort or concern for "artistic integrity" to changing tastes, bless him.

"every picture tells a story" x 10 = maybe the greatest pure rock'n'roll performance, ever

As much as I love the '70s classics I can't pretend I wasn't raised on the VH1 shit.

if Rod recorded Great Synth-Pop Hits, Vol. 1 and covered the likes of Human League's "Seconds," Gary Numan's "Down in the Park," and Yaz's "Only You" using his early eighties studio band it would be my favorite album ever.

I love "Seconds" but I can't imagine Rod singing it, "Only You" is OTM though.
TS: "Young Turks" vs. "Johnny & Mary"

Ugh. Difficult. "Young Turks," because I've loved it longer.
However, Palmer's "Some Guys Have All The Luck" >>>> Rod's.

I slightly prefer Robert's "Some Guys", but I like some of the differences between the two.

Hmmm....
"Infatuation" .... and that's about all I can muster.
Horrible music from this man, but he's a hilarious interview.

The Faces' version of "Wicked Messenger" should really be acknowledged as one of the GREAT Dylan covers. As good as Hendrix's "All Along The Watchtower" and nothing less.
