Oh boy.

I'm currently listening to Freefloater, by the Higher Intelligence Agency (nice electronica from a while ago).

Then I see this thread title. "No way - he's dead? What a coincidence!"

And then I read the article and I find out it's even more of a coincidence than I thought: it's someone else with the same name! (ok, the HIA guy is Bobby Bird and this is Bobby Byrd, but still)

In 1952, it was Byrd who discovered the young Brown in a prison in Toccoa, Georgia, where he was serving time for burglary, and helped him get an early release.
