When did it become uncool to name your song after the chorus?

I mean, how am I supposed to ask the record store man for the cassingle of, say, "You Never Loved My Scars" by the nu-metal flavor of the day when the song is actually called like "Blindpig" or something? Little help.

would "living on a prayer" have been as popular if it had been called "blindpig"?

well you could always tell the record store man that it "sounds like this: [off-key whistle, air guitar, etc] and then it goes like THIS and then bam-pow-wham like THIS and then it goes doo-doo- doo and then like there's the noodly guitar solo: do you know it?"

then run before they try to deck your ass

Since Dylan. He's very 'influential'.

...except with Dylan, most of the songs that HAD choruses were named after them.

When did it become uncool to name your song after the chorus?
When listeners got tired of songs that were essentially the Chorus catchphrase repeated over and over and over again, ad infinitum.

That's what I said.

Og, I'm sorry, Dave 255...I thought you couldn't find yer bottle of Dilantin and were doing a really mean-spirited, impromptu impersonation of Ian Curtis.
