Getting somewhat exclusive here.....

Too $hort, E-40, Spice 1, Luniz, Dru Down, Rappin 4 Tay, Ant Banks..... the Oakland/SF sector of G funk etc. that existed along the more well-known Westside gangsta, Ice Cube, 2pac, Mack 10 arena.

I live around here so I must have a skewed idea of how far these guys reach. In the early/mid-90s they were all over Bay Area urban jam stations.... does anybody else hear about them?

I certainly hope the rest of the world has heard the "I Got 5 On It" remix. The bay area should secede from the rest of the world and E-40 should be our leader.

Too $hort and Spice 1 definitely had followings in the midwest during the late '80s/early '90s. The later groups did pretty well when they came along too. (You could probably add JT the Bigga Figga and Celly Cell to that list.) Same goes for Sacramento types like C-Bo and Brotha Lynch Hung.

Search Too $hort's "Nation Riders". Def sarch Luniz. Destroy a bunch of groups I don't even remember now that I've moved because they never grew up.

Luniz was pretty big here in the UK - everyone seemed to think "I Got 5 on it"'s title referred to masturbation

Oh no I forgot Oaktown's 357!
