Considered by lots of people to be their first great album, this is the oldest Depeche Mode album that lots of non-synthpop fans may be familiar with. IMO it also remains one of their best ever and it has a tendency to be a fave pick by really devout fans.
Hopefully enough people on ILM are familiar with it that it will be an interesting poll too.
I am using the original US version of the album because I realise "But Not Tonight" is an important inclusion for some US fans. (And including all of the CD bonus tracks wouldn't be right anyway). The cassette version that I used to own, and also the European vinyl version, ended with "New Dress".
