girls can tell over kill the moonlight by a hair

an exceptionally thin hair

ciderpress, Sunday, 30 September 2007 02:19 (eighteen years ago)

dang this is so hard

Girls Can Tell and A Series of Sneaks have more songs I love, but Kill the Moonlight is just a great listen from start to finish. that album is so well-produced, it cures headaches (I'm not sure why this is true, but it is).

bernard snowy, Sunday, 30 September 2007 02:29 (eighteen years ago)

took me awhile but it's gax5
"black like me" fucks me up

Davey D, Sunday, 30 September 2007 03:51 (eighteen years ago)

I went for "Girls Can Tell" because the first track has so much sentimental shit for me it's unbelievable. Close runner up is GF which is actually a better record.

the next grozart, Sunday, 30 September 2007 04:14 (eighteen years ago)

i went for Gimme Fiction but will we even know who wins?

gman, Sunday, 30 September 2007 07:41 (eighteen years ago)

girls can tell ftw

first spoon record i ever heared

bought it at the first spoon show i ever went to

with this girl i had a thing for

tried really hard to like "ktm" cause it was girl's fave.

couldn't do it then. can't do it now.

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Sunday, 30 September 2007 07:44 (eighteen years ago)

Jordan Sargent, Monday, 1 October 2007 00:22 (eighteen years ago)

KTM is one of the most overrated albums ever. Gimme Gimme Fiction, which has almost as many good songs as Emotional Rescue and a lead singer who's not getting any less obscure the more units he sells.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Monday, 1 October 2007 00:49 (eighteen years ago)

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Monday, 1 October 2007 00:56 (eighteen years ago)

I went for Girls Can Tell, because it's strong (mostly) all the way through. The other ones since Girls Can Tell lag in the second half for me.

Euler, Monday, 1 October 2007 01:02 (eighteen years ago)

This world wasn't meant for us both...Kill the Moonlight just beat out Gimme Fiction, but it was close

Morley Timmons, Monday, 1 October 2007 01:43 (eighteen years ago)

Girls Can Tell

M.V., Monday, 1 October 2007 02:53 (eighteen years ago)

Girls Can Tell after a Pepsi Challenge today with Series of Sneaks - gotta love so many songs on the latter too.

It's esp. nice in Merge re-issue release - to feel that frustration they felt with Elektra at the time in those tacked on songs - uggh! One of my good friends was an employee at WEA at the time and I know he loved 'em, but like Jason Falkner, these guys were flat out abused and I know he must've hated it ...

BlackIronPrison, Monday, 1 October 2007 03:05 (eighteen years ago)

I will likely be the only Telephono voter.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 1 October 2007 03:15 (eighteen years ago)

I was really tempted to go with Telephono (totally underrated) but I had to be honest.

da croupier, Monday, 1 October 2007 05:42 (eighteen years ago)

It's actually kinda odd that Gimme Fiction's my fave when I like the two that bracket it least.

da croupier, Monday, 1 October 2007 05:44 (eighteen years ago)

telephono!

gff, Monday, 1 October 2007 05:44 (eighteen years ago)

i can't differentiate the last three in my head, tbh

gff, Monday, 1 October 2007 05:45 (eighteen years ago)

stephen, Thursday, 4 October 2007 21:39 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Thursday, 4 October 2007 23:01 (eighteen years ago)

Can I change my mind - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga is amazing! I've already mixed "Ghost Of You Lingers" over a house beat for the ILX DJ Mix thread.

the next grozart, Friday, 5 October 2007 00:22 (eighteen years ago)

I think I'm gonna have to vote KTM, but only just.

Scik Mouthy, Friday, 5 October 2007 07:59 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

for firefox users, who the hell uses explorer anymore?

i have yet to hear Girls Can Tell but other than that this poll is OTM.

Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga is a top five album, so far, for 2007 and loving it more and more every time i hear it.

Bee OK, Saturday, 6 October 2007 05:38 (eighteen years ago)

This is why ILM is so fucking terrible (these days).

no, it's the polls...oh wait.

Bee OK, Saturday, 6 October 2007 05:42 (eighteen years ago)

one year passes...

I love all of their albums except Telephono (which I merely like), but I now know that the answer to this question is Gimme Fiction.

Sickamous Mouthall (Scik Mouthy), Sunday, 14 June 2009 08:43 (sixteen years ago)

Girls Can Tell, sorry everyone.

I just wish he hadn't adopted the "ilxor" moniker (ilxor), Monday, 15 June 2009 13:20 (sixteen years ago)
