This is really, really great, what the 'difficult' second album should have sounded like.
― Billy Dods, Sunday, 7 October 2007 17:00 (seventeen years ago)
indie-vocoder-trance?

bosh/mope/mosh
― max r, Sunday, 7 October 2007 17:06 (seventeen years ago)
I dunno, it sounds fine to me. the fact that I didn't instantly think "holy shit, those lyrics are terrible!" (although they may very well be, for all I know) makes it an improvement over the last album.
― bernard snowy, Sunday, 7 October 2007 17:25 (seventeen years ago)
This is really great, certainly kicks the arse of everything on the last album. I hope they go all out and make a Technique-style third album.
― Matt DC, Sunday, 7 October 2007 18:11 (seventeen years ago)
hey does anyone know what's up with this 'digital re-release'? is it re-mastered or are they just adding this ep?
― Jordan Sargent, Sunday, 7 October 2007 18:14 (seventeen years ago)
i do not see it "all over the net", please advise
― cutty, Sunday, 7 October 2007 18:37 (seventeen years ago)

I've just heard this and I want to start my life over again so I wouldn't have heard it
― DJ Mencap, Friday, 19 October 2007 13:06 (seventeen years ago)

i like the JFK.
― pisces, Thursday, 15 November 2007 13:43 (seventeen years ago)
re JFK : the opening with full on italio house piano was a little of a head spin moment i have to admit, but yeah, its not that bad.
― mark e, Thursday, 15 November 2007 13:52 (seventeen years ago)

oh man this sounds fun - is it going to be available digitally anywhere, or is it NME-only?
― jamescobo, Thursday, 15 November 2007 15:34 (seventeen years ago)
burial remix of "where is home" is fantastic
If they had any sense they'd ditch Jacknife Lee for the next album and get Burial in.
― Billy Dods, Thursday, 15 November 2007 15:36 (seventeen years ago)
oh, i'm pretty damn sure these will surface somewhere online (hype machine!). after all, there are going to be a lot of people with this freebie cd by the end of the week.
― mark e, Thursday, 15 November 2007 16:00 (seventeen years ago)

I haven't heard the original version yet, but that JFK remix is pretty good.
― jon /via/ chi 2.0, Friday, 30 November 2007 14:10 (seventeen years ago)
yeah the JFK remix is ace. way better than the original.
― pisces, Friday, 30 November 2007 14:12 (seventeen years ago)
I really like this Armand Van Helden Bloc Party remix. That is all.
― Plaxico (I know, right?), Monday, 16 March 2009 19:28 (sixteen years ago)
so they actually went dance, like... juan maclean style dance
― swag serf (J0rdan S.), Friday, 19 June 2009 22:34 (sixteen years ago)
this is kind of amazing, against like every odd
― swag serf (J0rdan S.), Friday, 19 June 2009 22:35 (sixteen years ago)
This is on the radio now. The backing is great but it really highlights how Kele just CANNOT write melodies and lyrics that scan properly, his vocals in chorus are so plodding it drags the whole thing down.
It takes a special kind of genius to fuck up hands-in-the-air piano house, but Kele Okerere managed it.
― Matt DC, Thursday, 6 August 2009 14:38 (sixteen years ago)
i did like that burial remix
― unban dictionary (blueski), Thursday, 6 August 2009 14:39 (sixteen years ago)
bloc party must have a great grasp of what's good in electronic music seeing as their singer is appearing on a forthcoming tiesto album
― vain_bowers, Thursday, 6 August 2009 20:44 (sixteen years ago)
"tenderoni" beat sounds totally like "wearing my rolex"
― ibaka flocka flame (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 29 April 2010 06:53 (fifteen years ago)
xxxchange sucks tho & this song is pretty dire
I like it, more than anything on Intimacy anyway. Especially when he launches into that higher melody to ride out the end.
― Johnny Fever, Thursday, 29 April 2010 08:16 (fifteen years ago)
agree. once it gets going its a cracking slice of old fashioned rave pop.bring on the beatmasters radio edit.
