No vote from me. I'm keeping my powder dry for the 'best song ever' poll, for which I have spent the last three months typing the opening post. It should be ready by Christmas. I predict 'Shaddup You Face' to win, with two votes.

It could happen, unless you add "Chewing Gum" in there.

Jeez, I'm having a much tougher time with this than with the McCartney poll...I'm torn between "There's A Place," "Ticket To Ride," and "Revolution 9."

No "In My Life"?

Yeah, no "In My Life" means that it's between "Help," "There's a Place," "Ticket to Ride" and "Girl" for me. Of the four, I think I'll go with "Ticket to Ride" today.

There's been quite a bit of debate over who was the primary writer of "In My Life", so I didn't include that one. I totally spaced out "Good Night".

not as impossible as mccartney's, only because strawberry fields is in here, but without that, I'd have a pretty hard time picking. there's a place! not a second time! both so overlooked.

Yeah, now that I think about it, I have started to automatically exclude the obvious number one choice, which is Strawberry Fields, and rightly so...

Am I the only one who thinks "Strawberry Fields Forever" is terribly overrated?

I also feel the same way about "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "All You Need Is Love". But I absolutely adore just about everything else of his.

And is "Ticket to Ride" really more of a John song than a Paul song?

I'm not sure what McCartney contributed to Ticket to Ride besides the drum pattern and harmony vocals (not to say that wasn't a huge contribution).

"That Means A Lot" was Paul's attempt at writing something like "Ticket To Ride."

I'm in a light mood for a Monday so I went with "You Can't Do That"! funkiest of his 'domineering creep' line of products

"There's a Place" still sounds like nothing else.
