"2000 Man" once again--one of my fave relatively unknown Stones songs ever.

JN$OT, Monday, 8 October 2007 09:00 (seventeen years ago)

you just made it more difficult! "citadel," anyway.

GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Monday, 8 October 2007 09:16 (seventeen years ago)

"sie ist 'eh regenbogen" does it for me.

t**t, Monday, 8 October 2007 10:40 (seventeen years ago)

Voted "In Another Land" once more then. Great song!

Geir Hongro, Monday, 8 October 2007 11:58 (seventeen years ago)

"Citadel"

That style of fast-damped feedback was never picked up by anyone, was it?

PhilK, Monday, 8 October 2007 12:02 (seventeen years ago)

"2000 Light Years from Home," the obvious choice.

Rockist Scientist, Monday, 8 October 2007 12:23 (seventeen years ago)

"Citadel", fantastic song, in a different but very good world it would lead off "Hot Rocks", and the riff would fly into the cosmos bringing all beings together in a celebration of rainbows. Space hippies indeed.

Euler, Monday, 8 October 2007 13:11 (seventeen years ago)

The Lantern, left channel only (just Mick and Keith), is the greatest piece of music ever.

Nubbelverbrennung, Monday, 8 October 2007 14:46 (seventeen years ago)

still "she's a rainbow," with "2000 man," "in another land," "2000 light years from home" and "citadel" nipping at its flowing locks.

tipsy mothra, Monday, 8 October 2007 15:17 (seventeen years ago)

I haven't heard the Wyman song in years.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Monday, 8 October 2007 15:20 (seventeen years ago)

So what's Cosmic Christmas? Is this on the CD? I only have the vinyl and there's nothing with that name on it. Is it the second half of Sing This All Together (See What Happens)?

smurfherder, Monday, 8 October 2007 16:29 (seventeen years ago)

Maybe it's the intro to "She's a Rainbow" (I'm guessing)?

JN$OT, Monday, 8 October 2007 16:35 (seventeen years ago)

It's the very last minute of "See what happens", it's a separate unlisted track at the end of side one on the LP.

It's "We wish you a merry christmas" on a theremin or feedback.

Mark G, Monday, 8 October 2007 20:50 (seventeen years ago)

Ah, ok, that makes it the first 40 seconds or so on the CD version of "She's A Rainbow". No wonder I prefer the single version on The London Years: this bit isn't there!

Euler, Monday, 8 October 2007 20:58 (seventeen years ago)

I honestly think there aren't any standout tracks on this - I like everything fairly equally, with one or two (poor) exceptions. such a goofy record.

Shakey Mo Collier, Monday, 8 October 2007 21:06 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Saturday, 13 October 2007 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

one year passes...

WTF?

Mark G, Tuesday, 24 March 2009 16:09 (sixteen years ago)

two years pass...

there are times when i'm like ok like a rainbow is the best pop song or best psyche-pop song ever recorded by ppl. is that entirely unreasonable??

dell (del), Saturday, 13 August 2011 06:44 (fourteen years ago)

stereo separation on this record so crazeh

dell (del), Saturday, 13 August 2011 06:45 (fourteen years ago)
