1-speed bike wrecked the place in the bar at ATP. He had these long drones of analog static which went through the entire set, and the hardest most obnoxious beats, none of this tasteful filtered bullshit. This along with him screaming 'special dedications' over the top caused a minor riot.

daniel givens put together nice between-band sets at the hood/surface of eceon show a few weeks back in brooklyn.

rjd2 (with tracks on the new def jux comp) is tight. mp3s of his dj sets impress me. "the new dj shadow" someone said. i think in that pitchfork review of the def jux comp.

manitoba has a dj set called the "tabby cat for president mix" that i enjoy. it is as eclectic as the sources of the music he produces.
