Dom Passantino, Tuesday, 9 October 2007 08:50 (eighteen years ago)

haha, it came down to a choice b/w journey & queen for me. i picked "bohemian rhapsody."

Eisbaer, Tuesday, 9 October 2007 08:53 (eighteen years ago)

"Bohemian Rhapsody" is at least the best single ever, and the other ones I like better are so long and complex they hardly count as songs, so I voted for that one.

Geir Hongro, Tuesday, 9 October 2007 08:57 (eighteen years ago)

Btw. the list included under "Bohemian Rhapsody" is probably a more representative selection of nominees :)

Geir Hongro, Tuesday, 9 October 2007 08:58 (eighteen years ago)

A hard choice between "Sway" and "Mack the Knife" as songs, but since I don't who Michael Buble is, I'll have to go for the latter.

Tuomas, Tuesday, 9 October 2007 10:03 (eighteen years ago)

Also, it's Bobby Darin with one r.

Tuomas, Tuesday, 9 October 2007 10:07 (eighteen years ago)

If this poll would've íncluded Dean Martin's version of "Sway" and Louie Armstrong's version of "Mack the Knife" I would've had a really hard time choosing between them, since they really are the best versions of two of the best songs ever.

Clash. I'm still trying to pinpoint the moment in history when those Journey and Queen songs (which is to say, all Journey and Queen songs) crossed over from kitchy jokes to records that are praised unironically.

Sara Sara Sara, Tuesday, 9 October 2007 13:37 (eighteen years ago)

Family Guy, Wayne's World, respectively.

Dom Passantino, Tuesday, 9 October 2007 13:42 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Tuesday, 9 October 2007 23:01 (eighteen years ago)

The answer is 'He's So Shy' by the Pointer Sisters.

god only knows will win

Zeno, Tuesday, 9 October 2007 23:06 (eighteen years ago)

Jezebal by the drones - talking about obscurity..

Zeno, Tuesday, 9 October 2007 23:12 (eighteen years ago)

Common sense tells me 'God Only Knows', but sometimes I just get carried away by ILM's Journey love. 'Don't Stop Believing' it is then.

Phil Will, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 10:06 (eighteen years ago)

4'33 because I refuse to take this poll seriously.

John Justen, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 15:28 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

ILX System, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 23:01 (eighteen years ago)

YES

John Justen, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 23:02 (eighteen years ago)

The system works.

John Justen, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 23:03 (eighteen years ago)

Well, that's that one solved then.

Dom Passantino, Wednesday, 10 October 2007 23:12 (eighteen years ago)

eagerly awaiting best album poll, after which we can close ILM.
