(:))

Mark G, Thursday, 11 October 2007 11:18 (seventeen years ago)

changed my vote to 'if you really love me'

stevie, Thursday, 11 October 2007 11:27 (seventeen years ago)

This morning, "That Girl," because the sun's out and I don't have to lecture today.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Thursday, 11 October 2007 11:54 (seventeen years ago)

wait, i went to bed after i posted and lost the answer (if any). i only have talking book through SKOL. am i missing some clutch singles collection of unappreciated album?

poortheatre, Thursday, 11 October 2007 12:05 (seventeen years ago)

Voted lately, although he has at least 10-15 album tracks from the 70s that are better (all of them ballads as well)

Geir Hongro, Thursday, 11 October 2007 12:12 (seventeen years ago)

'you are the sunshine of my life,' but voted in spirit for 'you and i (we can conquer the world.' fiery furnaces should cover that.

poortheatre, Thursday, 11 October 2007 12:16 (seventeen years ago)

Yep. "You And I" is his best ever song.

Geir Hongro, Thursday, 11 October 2007 12:35 (seventeen years ago)

poortheatre -

If you want a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to get the 60s 'pre-auteur' hits as Morbs put it, the Greatest Hits and Greatest Hits 2 collections ought to get you started. There's really no reason to avoid the lps "Signed Sealed Delivered" and "Up Tight" though, and there's plenty good reason to get more than that.

uhhh yeah dude he was good at least thru 'in square circle'

deej, Thursday, 11 October 2007 20:14 (seventeen years ago)

'hotter than july' is the big one you're missing

deej, Thursday, 11 October 2007 20:14 (seventeen years ago)

does that mean you don't have 'music of my mind' either???

deej, Thursday, 11 October 2007 20:15 (seventeen years ago)

OK, slightly righter then. damn that wikipedia entry's incompleteness!

Oilyrags, Thursday, 11 October 2007 20:33 (seventeen years ago)

rectifying..

poortheatre, Thursday, 11 October 2007 23:07 (seventeen years ago)

As I said before, there's at least 20 songs I love more than loaf itself on here, but I think I'll go for the one I've been listening to most lately: I Was Made to Love Her.

Oilyrags, Friday, 12 October 2007 19:48 (seventeen years ago)

voted for "& Marvin Gaye)"

stephen, Friday, 12 October 2007 20:15 (seventeen years ago)

I stand by "For Once In My Life" as the best song made by anyone ever.

The Reverend, Friday, 12 October 2007 20:35 (seventeen years ago)

This poll is probably the most difficult one I have ever encountered on I Love Music. I've managed to whittle it down to 23 songs.

Dimension 5ive, Friday, 12 October 2007 20:56 (seventeen years ago)

This discography was made for a deathmatch. EVERYBODY would be in a rage by the end of it!

Rock Hardy, Friday, 12 October 2007 21:43 (seventeen years ago)

When I think that even this fucker's minor chart singles ("I Ain't Gonna Stand For It," "For Your Love," to name two of many) pwned...

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Friday, 12 October 2007 21:51 (seventeen years ago)

I can't overthink this. I just went for the one I sang along with in my car: "Another Star."

Eric H., Saturday, 13 October 2007 04:15 (seventeen years ago)

Same answer ("If You Really Love Me")

Tape Store, Saturday, 13 October 2007 20:34 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Wednesday, 17 October 2007 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

ILX System, Thursday, 18 October 2007 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

Why is it the good music polls don't attract voters?

Eric H., Friday, 19 October 2007 01:58 (seventeen years ago)

It was too hard for me to decide / I forgot to vote.
