Well, for me, the only thing that might possibly rival Lightning Seeds is "Bønna Ifra Nord" - a great Norwegian football song by Racer that topped the Norwegian singles chart in 2000. And you'll find a lot of that kind of examples. :)

I really like the song Life Of Riley. The football songs got quite annoying very quickly didn't they! It's a shame Ian Broodie has such a weak voice, I think they would have been a truly great band if they had a singer like the guy from The Feeling.
