The answer is clear, my friend:

I also like the Mortiis cover where he looks like the evil munchkin from Rumplestilskin the movie. That was a silly movie. How did Rumplestilskin learn to drive?

that aint the proper make it big, it's -like- a bootleg off the market.

piscesboy, Thursday, 25 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Lucy, Saville did help establish the "visual identity" of Wham! Which may be a dubious honor considering that most people I know at least chuckle if not guffaw at the sight of them (but that really isn't Saville's fault). He also did 'Avalon' for Roxy Music which is no good due to its lack of sultry women in minimal garb. I have nothing but respect for the bulk of his work tho. Album covers with the band on them usually aren't my favorite, but off the top of the dome I'd say I like 'Pet Sounds' (I guess hanging out at a petting zoo may not seem "cool" to everybody), the newest David Axelrod (it's a treated picture possibly to mask his age), and I think the newest Oxes cover features the band passed out on 'rufies' while a young lady has her way w/ them. If I think of more I'll come back and ramble on.

What was Tracer's 'Oh God' directed at?

N., Thursday, 25 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I can't do the pic palaver, but you just can't beat the cover of 'This Is Our Music' by Ornette Coleman.

Andrew L, Thursday, 25 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

N. i thought it was clear that i was appealing to God to have mercy on your soul for posting that album cover.

Tracer hand, Thursday, 25 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

But she looks delicious! I don't actually own the album or anything.

Cardigans Gran Turismo
GWAR Hell-O

Lord Custos II, Thursday, 25 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

A Northern Soul by The Verve.

I was sixteen. It's an impressionable age. I rushed out to buy some red jeans. But couldn't find any, so settled for a red denim jacket instead.

It still looks Boss (the record sleeve - the jacket died years ago).

The Hall and Oates cover is a lot better than that New Order cover.

Sean, Thursday, 25 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The Hall and Oates cover is a lot better than that New Order cover.
Perhaps. I just like the New Order cover better because you can change which face you put to the front. I can't remember which one is up front for me right now. HOOKIE RULES THO DUDE.

Surely on hte New Order Albums it will just say 'new' rather than 'new order' if you stick Hooky in though?

Also, not only does Juliana Hatfield look cool in that picture, it is also a fucking great album and better than anything else she has done, including Blakes Babies.

Erm, some more for you:

It's actually a white dinner jacket with black pants :) But yes, he's always been very cool.

Sean, Thursday, 25 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

He may have been illustrated (not all the pics seemed to load), but surely Chet Baker OWNS this thread.

Martin Skidmore, Thursday, 25 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

And while I'm being persnickety, it's Bryan. When does "Frantic" come out, btw? It's been pushed back three times, wonder why.
