Were you a soul girl? Do you know anyone who was, and went to soul weekenders back in the day? I'm helping out the DJ at an 'old' soul-girl's 40th on Saturday. The birthday girl is very nice and just said ah don't worry, play what you want and what you think will get the punters dancing, but I'd like to surprise her with a few tunes that may be more directly to her taste.

I recommend checking out most of the compilations on Kent Soul

Which club did she dance at, because there're compilations with favorites specific to that clubs, like Wigans or the Twisted Wheel.
