There are so many music blogs out there today. There are critics' blogs, mp3 blogs, oeuvre blogs, news-ish blogs, band blogs, label blogs, etc., etc. Do you actually follow any? Which ones and why?
I've been reading a lot of blogs over the past few months but I'm starting to get burnt out on them. I'm starting to realize that I'm not getting much out of them, I guess, and I find myself preferring to read longer articles where I feel like the author has put a lot of effort into researching the subject and writing the final piece. Yes, blog posts are super-timely, but maybe it's not all that important to get instant opinions on things after all. I'm starting to feel like most music blogs, with a few exceptions, aren't even worth following anymore.

For example: I got much more out of Simon Reynolds's new book than I did out of 75% of the blog posts I've read in the past six months.

if you type "blogs" into the search engine you'll find a lot of threads with a lot of links.
