"Booo!" vs "Flowers"

HI DERE, Thursday, 8 November 2007 21:04 (eighteen years ago)

Hard to see past "Flowers", but I know "Ruffneck Sound" has its boosters on ILM. Just to be controv I'm gonna vote for "Shake Ur Body". But let's be honest, music is the winner here.

Noodle Vague, Thursday, 8 November 2007 21:06 (eighteen years ago)

I was just listening to this. It's definitely Flowers, but Sambuca is actually really fun also.

I'm gonna take a top 5 from each disc for a Grand Playoff.

No B-15 Project, No Credibility.

Spencer Chow, Thursday, 8 November 2007 22:10 (eighteen years ago)

"Ruffneck Sound" is awesome, but it's kind of post-Garage heyday in my mind.

Spencer Chow, Thursday, 8 November 2007 22:10 (eighteen years ago)

Don't do it!

jim, Thursday, 8 November 2007 22:14 (eighteen years ago)

Is it the Basement Version of "Ruffneck Sound" though? That's the ace one. The original is kinda meh breakbeat garage. I agree that of this group it's "Booo!" or "Flowers".

Tim F, Friday, 9 November 2007 07:50 (eighteen years ago)

Yes, but if that's the Armand Van Helden version of "Sugar is Sweeter" then I may just have to go with that one. I also love "Sincere" but not as much as "Crazy Love".

Spencer Chow, Friday, 9 November 2007 08:09 (eighteen years ago)

Yes, if "Crazy Love" was here I might even plump for that. SO SO GOOD.

Tim F, Friday, 9 November 2007 09:14 (eighteen years ago)

Dom Passantino, Friday, 9 November 2007 09:52 (eighteen years ago)

"Sambuca" is great, but there were so many better Wideboys tunes that I'm reluctant to throw my weight behind it. It seems disrespectful to "Something's Got Me Started (Dub)" or "2 Da Westside" or their remixes of "Woman Trouble" - classic tune that I have lost :-( - and "Rewind" and Once Waz Nice and United Grooves Collective...

Oh for the days of early 2001 when i could go out to a local garage night - when there was such a thing - and hear five Wideboys productions in two hours.
