Anybody ever ordered one of those Time-Life Box Sets?

this can be a general thread about them I don't care, but I do have a question about the 'preview' option where you pay $9.95 and you have up to 30 days to send them back without paying further. Is there some kind of copy protection on them? I'm worried Time-Life might get ripped off if they're not careful but I don't want to unduly alarm their operators.

Well, here's somethign to consider... my dad has this set (singers and songwriters) - and i wanted to grab some songs onto my computer, but the tracklistings both in Gracenote (itunes) and whatever Microsoft Media Player uses were all messed up. In some cases the tracks and CD could not be ID-ed, and in other cases, the tracks on CD 2 of each case were mislabelled as having the songs from CD 1. So if you are thinking of buying and ripping, you may have troubles.

this said, their box sets are pretty fun collections - you can't really go wrong.

yes i want midnight love next (90's JAMZ) which i think is the successor to 'body and soul', and i started with the soft rock 11 cd set(just PART of a 19 cd set, apparently).
