Problem Solving Question

It's 1988 and Steve Winwood's tour bus is caught in traffic, in the United States. His bus driver is driving faster than normal to compensate but doesn't have a Class B driver's license, or part of his right hand.

The bus hits a slick spot and the driver loses control, and flips the vehicle, and the bus catches on fire. Steve manages to escape and save his bandmates and much of the equipment, but the bus driver is engulfed in flames. As Steve is sobbing due to the tragedy, he hears the godawful Terry Jacks song "Seasons in the Sun".

Knowing that if he recites the lyrics to Higher Love three times while that song plays, a time portal will open up, Steve is faced with a quandary. If he recites the lyrics to Higher Love and goes back in time, the song will cease to exist and he will be forced to relive his career without this hit being on the airwaves or performed. Performing it live will result in instant death.

The question is...does Steve go back in time to save the bus driver and ensure he gets his Class B license, or does he leave him there so he can keep playing Higher Love?

You know, I've been wondering about this very question for years. Thanks for asking it here!

More importantly, what happens to the Whitney Houston cover and the Kygo remix?
