Like, three times or more?

I have to say, the new Voice of the Seven Woods album did it. And I'd bought the new SuperFurries one also, hey it just had to wait! Mind you, I was in Barnsley at the time.

Probably "OK Computer" when it was new. I have stopped doing that kind of thing now, and I am not ever likely to do it again.

Do you mean in the "I don't get this album, so i'm going to keep trying" sense or "This is amazing and I can't stop listening to it" sense?

I find that in the latter case, albums that I initially love loads have limited longevity.

"In Rainbows" but I didn't buy it.

xpost I did mean the latter, but the former is good too.

you need better filters, man. or just stop getting caught up in the hype. records i love immediately almost always end up as permanent favorites. it happens very infrequently, though.

I dunno, you move on.

I remember playing Joe Jackson's "Jumping Jive" quite a few times the first couple of days I had it, then never again.

i don't think it's a hype thing...by the time i get round to the latest thing, the world has long moved on. i was 5 years late with boards of canada and only just got round to buying the first dizzy album!

I listened to Pink Reason Cleaning the Mirror pretty repeatedly over the summer. I was having a hard summer and its vibe of abandonment helped get me through.
