Not cool, as these are actually my two FAVORITE Radiohead songs. :(

Johnny Fever, Thursday, 15 November 2007 05:55 (eighteen years ago)

Both are brilliant, but Let Down has a little less Buckley, so that.

I'll vote for Let Down.

But I adore Fake Plastic Trees also. The Glastonbury 2003 performance alone is excellent evidence of its brilliance:

let down definitely less whiney and has a richer sound (in the chocolate cake sense not the bill gates sense)

Hard to pick. "Let Down" is one of the best tracks on "OK Computer" while "Fake Plastic Trees" is my favourite on "The Bends". I still find "Let Down" slightly better though (OKC is better overall)

I can't think of many Radiohead songs whinier than Let Down.

Matt DC, Thursday, 15 November 2007 11:16 (eighteen years ago)

Most of what they've done after 2000 is whinier, for starters.

Fake Plastic Trees.

have never understood ilm love for Let Down. It's great and all, but I would rank so many of their songs over that one.

I heard FPL on the radio the other day and it sounded like the begetter of every TravisKeaneColdplay monstrosity.

The guitars in Let Down are gorgeous and the climax is transcendental. Not whiny.

"Fake Plastic Trees" loses for including a redundant word in its title.

abanana, Thursday, 15 November 2007 12:31 (eighteen years ago)

Truly the Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo of Radiohead song titles.

abanana, Thursday, 15 November 2007 12:32 (eighteen years ago)

Melissa W doesn't like "Let Down" all that much and I've always wondered why. It's probably my fave track on the album.

Two of my favorite Radiohead songs, but Let Down gets the slight nod

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Wednesday, 21 November 2007 03:01 (eighteen years ago)

"Let Down" has the best ending to any Radiohead song ever.

Fake Plastic Trees for making me cry in concert when i was 18 years old, lol

"Let Down" I never liked very much until I heard the Easy Star Allstars version. It's so dreary and exactly what Radiohead detractors point to when they say their music is "depressing". I really like Fake Plastic Trees though.

great poll

i came *this* close to running "other whiny radiohead songs" through my head, but took a deep breath.
