Some enterprising prog passioneers, punk providers and new wave have flooded myspace with great music such as:
http://www.myspace.com/slochecaprog">Sloche
The Shirts Late 70's NYC
Lake Late '70s Germany
Intergalactic Touring Band
Just to name a few.
There's a lot of cheese, too.
La "Baloune" De Varenkurtel Au Zythogala by Sloche is one awesome track.
The information provided on most of these profiles are interesting, although I'm sure most of the info is coming directly from allmusic.com
If you're bored you can browse for hours through these bands friends to look for more great mostly unheard of prog. At least most, if not all of these bands are new to me.

Deaf School sound excellent. Not sure if I'd really call this stuff prog though...(?)

Try Time Of Orchids. And the last time I looked,YouTube had lots of Soft Machine (also shows how stupid they were to fire Robert Wyatt, but there's lots of his stuff on there too, with Matching Mole and solo, which I guess he wouldn't have written and/or recorded, at least not like and/or when he did, if stayed longer with Soft Machine--though eventually all the early members left, and it became like 10th-generation oldies band)

It's totally bizarre that The Intergalactic Touring Band is on myspace. Anyone who finds that LP in the dollar bin needs to pick it up. I took my screen name from "Love Station" on that album. It's a gloriously cheezy disco track sung by Ben E King.
