It's here, apparently. My top 10:

1. Justin Timberlake : "LoveStoned" (4:18)

3. Soulja Boy Tell 'Em : "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" (3:41)

The Reverend, Monday, 19 November 2007 15:06 (eighteen years ago)

i guess that's not the single version of "the way i are" so i'm voting kanye.

J0rdan S., Monday, 19 November 2007 16:55 (eighteen years ago)

timbo

deej, Monday, 19 November 2007 16:59 (eighteen years ago)

Sean Kingston

Euler, Monday, 19 November 2007 17:00 (eighteen years ago)

I want to say "LoveStoned," but I've grown to love the whiney Good Charlotte number.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Monday, 19 November 2007 17:52 (eighteen years ago)

"Who Knew" is literally the only song on here that I'd put on my end of year singles list, if I didn't already put it on my '06 list. Half the rest is shit, and the other half is tolerable but nothing I genuinely like.

Alex in Baltimore, Monday, 19 November 2007 18:00 (eighteen years ago)

Almost all of these are half-shit.

The Reverend, Monday, 19 November 2007 18:02 (eighteen years ago)

I just tried to rank them, and realized it's way more than just half-shit. This really might be the worst NOW tracklist I've ever seen.

Alex in Baltimore, Monday, 19 November 2007 18:07 (eighteen years ago)

Wow, Who Knew was a single everywhere else almost a year ago. And what version of The Way I Are is on this, then?

musically, Monday, 19 November 2007 18:10 (eighteen years ago)

wow i love "who knew" i just thought it was kelly clarkson. i even said in the rolling US thread, "i love this new clarkson song where her voice is really strained". anyway i would have voted for that had i known what it was.

J0rdan S., Monday, 19 November 2007 18:11 (eighteen years ago)

"Who Knew" was a single in the U.S. over a year ago, too, it completely missed the Hot 100 back then, was then re-released (w/ same video and everything) after "U + Ur Hand" became a sleeper hit.

Alex in Baltimore, Monday, 19 November 2007 18:14 (eighteen years ago)

yeah i didn't hear "who knew" on the radio until like two months ago.

J0rdan S., Monday, 19 November 2007 18:17 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, that's the single version of "The Way I Are," and thus gets my vote.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 19 November 2007 19:48 (eighteen years ago)

The album version of "The Way I Are" (which, oddly enough, is the version that got radio play here) is way better than the single version (which felt totally unnecessary.

The Reverend, Monday, 19 November 2007 19:57 (eighteen years ago)

"LoveStoned," narrowly edging "The Way I Are."

jaymc, Monday, 19 November 2007 20:10 (eighteen years ago)

timba

Curt1s Stephens, Monday, 19 November 2007 20:46 (eighteen years ago)

is the single version the one w/o D.O.E.?

J0rdan S., Monday, 19 November 2007 21:19 (eighteen years ago)

Wait, maybe it is. I've got the album version, and a single "edit." Whether the edit is the actual "single" version or not, I dunno. But both of them have D.O.E. present.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 19 November 2007 21:23 (eighteen years ago)

The video version has a verse by Sebastian (Timbaland's brother) that doesn't seem to be on the album or radio single versions. His verse is as awful as D.O.E.'s but at least slightly more entertaining.

Alex in Baltimore, Monday, 19 November 2007 21:28 (eighteen years ago)

TOO SOON.

I never noticed, but the graphic design for these is kind of funny. You'd think they'd play up the artist and song names but they really get crushed by the logo which basically never changes...

Doctor Casino, Monday, 19 November 2007 22:08 (eighteen years ago)

they advertise each new album enough that the volume number is the most important detail on the cover. It's not like people are going to go back and buy old "Now!" compilations.

Curt1s Stephens, Monday, 19 November 2007 23:23 (eighteen years ago)

No, they just make ILM polls about them.

Alex in Baltimore, Monday, 19 November 2007 23:31 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Saturday, 24 November 2007 00:01 (eighteen years ago)

2. Timbaland featuring Keri Hilson & D.O.E. : "The Way I Are" (#12 on my end-of-the-year list)
3. Justin Timberlake : "LoveStoned" (4:18) (justin timberlake tracks are disqualified from end-of-year-list 'cause i don't want 5 jt tracks in my top fifteen)
12. Pink : "Who Knew" (3:27) (#8 on my end of the year list)
13. Avril Lavigne : "When You're Gone" (3:57) (#9 on my end of the year list)

These are the four best...I'll probably vote for "When You're Gone," since no one else seems to be voting for it.

Tape Store, Saturday, 24 November 2007 01:09 (eighteen years ago)

Soulja Boy, though that could conceivably change when I actually listen to the album. (I also like Justin, Nickelback, Fab and Ne-yo, Sean Kingston, and probably a few other things I don't know I like.)

xhuxk, Saturday, 24 November 2007 03:02 (eighteen years ago)

Oh yeah, Rihanna -- That's a better Pink song than the Pink one (which I need to refresh my memory about), I think. May also kind of like the Daughtry, strangely enough -- One of his songs sounded pretty good last time I heard it; not sure if it was this one or not.

xhuxk, Saturday, 24 November 2007 03:06 (eighteen years ago)

C'mon folks, I don't care if you grew incredibly tired of it "Bed" is the clear winner here.

matt2, Saturday, 24 November 2007 04:01 (eighteen years ago)

But I voted for "Promise" on the last poll.

Tape Store, Saturday, 24 November 2007 05:11 (eighteen years ago)

fwiw the only songs on here that I've heard & like (haven't heard most of them) are Timba and Soulja Boy

Curt1s Stephens, Saturday, 24 November 2007 06:29 (eighteen years ago)

out of the four rihanna singles they picked by far the worst, but i guess by timing it makes sense.

J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2007 06:48 (eighteen years ago)

Naw, the Ne-Yo duet is refried suck. "SUAD" is great in a generic pop single kind of way. CAR=FUCK is such an excellent trope that it's almost impossible to do wrong by it.

The Reverend, Saturday, 24 November 2007 06:51 (eighteen years ago)

i like "hate that i love you" cuz it sounds like a backstreet boys song i would have liked in 5th grade. "shut up and drive" is okay. it's like the 8th or 9th best song on the album.

rev did you end up liking GGGB? i was reading the "umbrella" thread the other day and i remember you saying like "i have this" but i don't remember if you ever gave it your blessing (pun sadly intended).

J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2007 06:56 (eighteen years ago)

It's good-not-great. Her best album probably. To tell the truth, I haven't pulled it out since this summer. It's on my list of things to relisten to. "Don't Stop the Music" = Awes.

The Reverend, Saturday, 24 November 2007 06:58 (eighteen years ago)

very pleased that they chose that as the 4th single.

J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2007 07:03 (eighteen years ago)

pleased meh.

J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2007 07:05 (eighteen years ago)

"Umbrella," "Lemme Get That," "Breakin' Dishes" and "Question Existing" should have been the singles.

Tape Store, Saturday, 24 November 2007 07:08 (eighteen years ago)

after "umbrella" i think "don't stop the music" has the best chance of being huge. kinda like "hella good" or something in terms of being a successful basically straight dance crossover.

J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2007 07:13 (eighteen years ago)

there is a Wideboys bassline house remix of "Don't Stop the Music" that is fucking bonkers

I vote Sean Kingston because I want the Rev to approve of everything I say/do

Matos W.K., Saturday, 24 November 2007 07:44 (eighteen years ago)

my dad asked me about plain white t's the other day. seems "hey there delilah" has made it's way onto AC radio.

J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2007 07:47 (eighteen years ago)

Hey Matos, can you send me that bassline house mix you tried to direct me to. I don't have all the torrent stuff to dl it from where you linked it. Oh and btw, putting your dick in a spiked vise > listening to Sean Kingston.

The Reverend, Saturday, 24 November 2007 08:38 (eighteen years ago)

"mashed-up my dick"

J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2007 08:48 (eighteen years ago)

"Hey There Delilah" is one of the awfullest things I've ever heard and I wish the ILX software would let me put in one vote each for everything else.

Guayaquil (eephus!), Saturday, 24 November 2007 16:02 (eighteen years ago)

Voted for "Hey There Delilah"

Dom Passantino, Saturday, 24 November 2007 16:10 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

ILX System, Sunday, 25 November 2007 00:01 (eighteen years ago)

8. Sean Kingston : "Beautiful Girls" (3:43) 5

Five people on ILM prefer dual eardrum rape to music. : (

The Reverend, Sunday, 25 November 2007 00:41 (eighteen years ago)

Maybe they just enjoy dudes who look as if they'd be unable to stand upright due to the size of their head

Dom Passantino, Sunday, 25 November 2007 00:43 (eighteen years ago)

"Beautiful Girls" sucks but surely "Hey There Delilah" is the most o_O song to get multiple votes

Alex in Baltimore, Sunday, 25 November 2007 01:26 (eighteen years ago)

Curt1s Stephens, Sunday, 25 November 2007 01:27 (eighteen years ago)

"Hey There Delilah" doesn't make me want to end people's lives.

The Reverend, Sunday, 25 November 2007 01:33 (eighteen years ago)

I have a girlfriend in NY whose name shares two syllables with the song's subject and even I don't think its the best song on this.

Makes my top 10 though.

da croupier, Sunday, 25 November 2007 01:46 (eighteen years ago)

The top 3 songs OTM.

HI DERE, Sunday, 25 November 2007 03:57 (eighteen years ago)
