John - Visionary and Bewildered Adjuct akin to Meriwether Lewis.
Paul - Steadfast and Accomplished (as Clark) until he died, Faul stunk (stinks).
George - In an accomplished kitchen, George would be the divine Saucier!
Ringo - Funny is as funny does, and a predilection for palpitory preeminenance.

This is a nice idea in theory but I can't really do it for any band I genuinely like. I mean, the Minutemen were the Minutemen, I guess it makes sense to call Hurley the weak link but he's a fucking amazing drummer and it'd be unfair to saddle him with that.

mick: played disarmingly weird busy off-kilter mystical beats
lindsey: wrote and sang openly weird ditties to fill the spaces between hits
christine: wrote and sang openly not-weird pop ditties
john: talented cuckolded bassist who did not make loving fun

I usually agree with fcc in everything, but you can't put Lindsey Buckingham third on that list.

it's not really third; that list is more like 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d. and john at 2.

Paul: short guy, wrote the songs, sang a bit, looked like a putz, annoyed Garfunkel
Art: tall guy, frizzy hair, sang the songs, looked like a putz, annoyed Simon

I like to think of you two guys as The Liberty DeVitto Twins.
