SHIT, when I said 'Zutto', I thought I was talking about the opening track of VCN, which is, of course, Circle. Good thing I didn't vote for it! Actually, Star through Spiral is the best thing they ever did but I'm not allowed to count it as one song.

7 takes too long to get into it

Holy fuck, this is SO RONG! If we're not including the intro (which is a separate track), it takes about 10 seconds for the drums to kick in, 1 minute for the guitars, 2 minutes (exactly) for the main riff, 2:14 for the main drum pattern, and 2:39 for the complete riff-cycle. THIS IS NOT LONG BY LATE-PERIOD BOREDOMS STANDARDS!

actually louis if you listen to it again it's like four and a half minutes before a generally unremarkable instrumental cover turns into the real shit

and I don't even pay that much attention still until about six minutes in when the flanger really starts whipping your head around

I should have voted 'Super Coming', that song deserves some sort of prize. I don't normally get synaesthesia, but it really reminds me of chilli-flavoured Doritos, in quite a satisfying way. I haven't eaten chilli-flavoured Doritos in about 3 years.

I don't think any britishes/antipodean alternate spelling bothers me quite as much as doubling up on the hockey sticks whenever you talk about hot pepper

Super Coming, Super Going and Super Are are the best three on that album but I'm not sure which is best.

I think the reason I like "Super Coming" the most is that (apart from the JOYOUS chanted refrain) it shows more obvious signs of structure; it coheres in an almost-recognisable rock format, whereas the other two are slightly more abstract. Abstract can be brilliant, but there's plenty of abstraction within "Super Coming" that nonetheless leads us down a perceptible progression. I don't believe this necessarily makes the other two inferior, more that I probably need to keep opening my mind to them!

I don't think I've ever said this before but I agree with Louis.

I want to change my vote to Super Are You after hearing it this morning while I was walking to work in the dark. It dies towards the end but the first 4 or 5 minutes are excellent.
