That is the Roger Waters & Ron Geesin project. Never heard it, just heard of it. I don't care for Pink Floyd, but how's The Body?

Eh, mostly just screwing around, hate to say. There are some nice Waters acoustic-guitar ballad interludes, though. You'll like it if you dig the weird moments of Saucerful of Secrets/Atom Heart Mother period.

It's a bunch of studio mucking about, but perhaps notable for one thing... K.W. Jeter tells a story about how Philip K. Dick had just purchased a fantastically expensive set of headphone for his stereo that cost close to $700 or $800 dollars (in 1970s dollars), but despite the terrific sound and the new stereo gadget, PKD was still in a deep funk. Jeter puts on a record that in PKD's words "sounded like a bunch of well-recorded people farting and gargling." PKD was astonishing that someone would release a record like that and (however it worked) it shook him out of his depression. The whole incident got written up in one of the VALIS books. The record? Geesin/Waters' _Music From The Body_.

You know, my first thought upon reading this thread's title was that Jesse Ventura ("the Body") had recorded an album.

I bought a Kinks vinyl reissue from the late '80's a few months ago. It was on Rhino, and the inside sleeve is a catalogue for other fine Rhino releases. One of them is, in fact, a record by Jesse "The Body" Ventura (a picture disc no less).

Ever see the short footage of The Body singing along with Warren Zevon live ("Werewolves of...Minnesota")? Excruciating.
