This is an easy "Sprinkling of Clouds", O my brothers

nah it's you'll never blow your trip forever, that bit with the rapid speed vocals (the more you know the more you don't know etc) does indeed blow my mind, or at least it did when I first heard it. It was my favourite song when I was 15 and I played it every day. I credit it with my O level results - apart from the C I got in History which was a puzzle to everybody.

You've not included some of the early 70s long live tracks, I've not ever actually heard the side they do on the 71 or 2 triple Glastonbury album, but I do love the 'floating anarchy' track on the greasy truckers album a lot, its a lovely drone, trancey thing, quite close to master builder (I nearly said hillagey but thats not a word is it?)

The reflex reaction is "Blues For Findlay", but as I'm currently going through a major You re-evaluation phase, I'm going to have to think long and hard about this one.

"gong live etc. " and "gong est mort" are two of my favourite gong records but there are so many live gong recordings that i decided to only include studio recordings. although, come to think of it, "allez ali baba baba have you any bullshit" is live. oops.

Looks like a tropical fish to me

Trip Maker, Wednesday, 5 December 2007 14:18 (seventeen years ago)

That was difficult... but in the end, it had to be "A Sprinkling Of Clouds".

Good to see all 4 epics from You picking up votes...

All of the top 9 could have got my vote but in the end "Allez Ali Baba...." got it. Curious as to who else voted for it.
