OK OK this stuff is basically IDM in the sense that it's created BY nerds who stay in their bedroom FOR nerds who stay in their bedroom.

A lot of it can veer into too much of a breakcore/heavy glitch territory which is where i jump ship, I'd have to say the more melodic classicist/twee stuff is more my cup of tea... [proswell, ilkae (kinda glitchy), minikon, vexion (1/2 of ilkae), parts of the bodenstandig 2000 album]

maybe it's my stupid relentless nintendo/sega nostalgia that drives my love of this stuff...

well anyway, who else is into this junk??

Yeah, I love this stuff. I spend a way more than should be normal amount of time at VORC.org. Asides from my obsession with 8 and 16 bit videogame music, the Chiptune/Demoscene helped me hone my composition skills - trying to make interesing music with a limited amount of voices/polyphony.

Now I'm sad, I wish the Greybox would have happened...
