Commissioned by the National Guard. Propaganda at its finest.

You know they show that video in Regal Cinemas before movie previews begin? I'm so sick of seeing it!

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Sunday, 9 December 2007 12:52 (seventeen years ago)

Oh man, that sucks. I only learned of this because a friend pointed it out to me.

The Reverend, Monday, 10 December 2007 02:15 (seventeen years ago)

I SAW IT AGAIN TONIGHT goddammit while going to see The Golden Compass!

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Monday, 10 December 2007 03:56 (seventeen years ago)

Saw this before No Country For Old Men...The indie kids behind me snickered a lot.

Government propaganda is better than indie kids. But not when it involves 3 Doors Down.

The Reverend, Monday, 10 December 2007 04:06 (seventeen years ago)

I saw one of their videos at the gym today, but the sound was turned off (and I didn't actually watch the whole thing). This does nothing to change my bias about 3 Doors Down.

This does nothing to change my biassanity about 3 Doors Down.

The Reverend, Monday, 10 December 2007 04:44 (seventeen years ago)

haha, botched!

The Reverend, Monday, 10 December 2007 04:44 (seventeen years ago)

oh god. this is horrible, horrible, horrible. even if I were gung-ho about the message -- what a shitty song.

babyalive, Monday, 10 December 2007 05:02 (seventeen years ago)

"Government propaganda is better than indie kids" is such a Lex-ism.

Alex in Baltimore, Monday, 10 December 2007 05:51 (seventeen years ago)

He would have meant it facetiously.

The Reverend, Monday, 10 December 2007 05:52 (seventeen years ago)

They're still milking "Kryptonite" however many years later is the bigger story here.

Murgatroid, Friday, 21 February 2014 06:01 (eleven years ago)

four years pass...

I don't mind them except when they do ballads.

morning wood truancy (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 3 April 2018 02:52 (seven years ago)

lol otm.

see now while "When I'm Gone" is pure drip-dookie, I always hated "Here Without You" more.

they really were a curiosity, a charisma black hole that had really nothing distinct about them. Nickleback sucked but Kroeger's vocals, whether you liked them or not, were at least something you could link to the band. Three Doors Down dude could basically be interchanged with people that sing his songs at karaoke night.

will never understand to this day how people STILL go nuts for "Kryptonite". 2000 was a weird assed year.

I don't love "Kryptonite," but it works.

Iraq rock was really a bummer
