awww c'mon...don't make me choose. all three are genius. although I suppose it's between "wood beez" for that incredible bassline and "hypnotize" for those incredible harmonies.

Absolute, for me.

Voted "Absolute" although I like "The Word Girl" and "Perfect Way" better.

And the results of my earlier "Cupid & Psyche" poll suggest "Absolute" will probably be the winner here too.

"Absolute," no question. The instrumental dub mix appended to the end of the CAP '85 CD is a wonder.

seems Perfect Way didn't chart *at all* in the UK.

Absolute is also their best album imo!

yeah, and it was released a few months after the album.

Well I helped it to reach no 48. I bought the cassingle of it in Autumn 85, a lovely card flip top box like a pack of ciggies. I don't know why but the mix of "Perfect way" on CD - well, my CD of "C&P 85" - always sounded wrong - the introduction sounds like it is out of phase.

I have the LP, is that better?

It should be noted that I do a smashing karaoke version of "Perfect Way."

Yes Mark the original LP (and cassette, which I had) sound far better, the intro to "Perfect way" sounding in-phase, clear and LOUD.

I got the "Best of" in a 2nd hand shop recently, loads from Skank to Tinseltown (i,.e. No white bread or boom bip) maybe that one is ok..

The intro to Perfect Way is SO LOUD on the album. Always found that super weird.
