The "Definitely will NOT be there" line-up is pretty sweet.

If screaming trees reform i hope they play Glasgow as i missed them when they played here a couple of times in the 90s. (inc josh homme playing with them)

After going like, fuck, four years consecutively I made the decision after last year to skip this year out unless somehow Bowie headlined. Saving money for an Alaskan vacation in August.

The idea of Jack Johnson headlining one night seems laughable on the face of it until you remember we're in Southern California. And every beach culture area has its own Jimmy Buffet.

i mean, vomitous bad. like strain vitalic & daft punk through a 'good' filter and then a soul 'filter' and then a 'dance' filter and make that sound into an album. i almost cried.

I like the Para One remix of Boys Noise "My Head" (but I haven't heard the CD you're talking about).

I saw MMJ open for Doves six years ago in Dallas. They only played maybe seven songs, but to this day it's one of my favorite shows ever. I'm going to see them again in March.

I watched the webcasts for Portishead, Spiritualized and waiting for Love & Rockets in half an hour or so.

Metric on that ATT stream was really cool and fun, Love and Rockets is kind of dissapointing so far (3 songs into the set)

they did 'motorcycle' all slow and mellow acoustic-like and it was pretty good, maybe the best song they did. the 'no new tale to tell' arrangement wasn't really very good at all. They did nothing to replace the studio parts that were missing from the song.

oh - also Mark Ronson's set was stupidly fun. nothing but guest vocalists (none of whom were particularly impressive outside of Sam Sparro, who tore "Black & Gold" to SHREDS) and crazy-ass instrumentation and such - basically, it was going for the same sense of spectacle as Prince's set, just without anywhere near the same level of professionalism (not that anyone in their right mind would hold a grudge over it).

also, much like everyone else in attendance for his set, I fell ass over teakettle in love with his button-cute asian violinist
