Barry Manilow is just too smooth while the Take That version was just too sugar-sweet, plus those falsetto vocals were extremely annoying.

Which leaves us with Donna Summer. Not her best moment though.

The orgasmic moaning is a turn off. And the Donna Summer version isn't much better.
I've no idea what the Abigail version sounds like. So it's Take That.

Vote should have gone to Featherbed (Manilow's former nom de disque), under which incarnation an early version of CIBM was done uptempo, almost a Tony Orlando sound, unnervingly peppy.

Donna Summer's version is in my top 3 favorite Donna Summer songs.

I have no time for charisma-free Leona Lewis , but her version of Could it Be Magic in the 2006 X Factor series was genuinely moving. (Of course it could just have sounded good compared to the blandisms surrounding it, but it's a good sign that I can still remember it).

Easily Manilow's finest hour (fuck that "Mandy" shit). Big ass minor chords. Barry asking you to "cum." It's like Wagner with a big seventies sweater.

More like top 2, actually.
