How much of your music is stuff on which you're ploughing a lone furrow? Are there gigs that you simply have to go to alone because you don't know anyone else who's into the music?

good thread idea. classical music (especially the modern variety) is an alien concept to most of my friends. one of my housemates used to get quite angry whenever he heard messiaen emanating from my room.
