Right, I probably should've listed to that by now: List your albums from the waiting list that could likely end up being your 07 favorites once you give them a chance

Never enough time to get to everything and sometimes even my favorite artists slip through for any of a multitude of reasons. Here's the stuff that either came out too recently, never made its way to my desk, got distracted and never committed to, etc. that never got a fair ear but will likely be an obsession in '08:

Bjork - Volta
Battles - Mirrored
MIA - Kala
Lil Wayne – Da Drought 3
Wu Tang – 8 Diagrams
Radiohead – In Rainbows
Daft Punk – Live 07
Afrirampo – Suuto Breakor
Ghostface Killah – Big Doe Rehab
Justice – Cross
Lupe Fiasco – The Cool
Prince – Planet Earth
Sir Richard Bishop – While My Guitar Gently Bleeds
Kanye West – Graduation
Project Pat – Walkin’ Bank Roll
Dizzee Rascal – Maths + English
Patrick Wolf – The Magic Position
Aesop Rock – None Shall Pass
T.I. – TI vs. TIP
LCD Soundsystem – Sound of Silver

And here's the stuff that's already on the verge of making the jump into the final pile prior to New Year's:
White Stripes – Icky Thump
Beanie Sigel – The Solution
Scarface - Made
Freeway – Free At Last
Baby Dee – Safe Inside the Day

Bjork OTM

Spend some time with Battles, Wu, Ghostface, Radiohead, Kanye, and LCD... you'll be glad you did. Patrick Wolf can suck it!

Bjork can suck it - this was her first album that doesnt feel utterly, entirely essential, in some way.

And coming from a big fan, and someone who really likes his post-2000 output thus far...the Prince album is just not very good, either. A big disappointment. Great lead single, though!

Kate Nash
Miles Davis Beyond The Corner box
Hannah Montana
High School Musical 2
Britney Spears

Whoso would list to hunt. . . (Yes, lame sophomore English major pun.)

Erik Friedlander - Book of Angels Vol. 8 (Tzadik)
Erik Friedlander - Black Ice & Propane
Rahim AlHaj - Home Again
Wu Fei - A Distant Youth
Nina Virdee - Gurbani Keertan (Sense World)
Nejo y Dalmata - Broke and Famous
Casa de Lenoes - s/t
Voltio - En Lo Claro
Shackleton - Sound Boy Punishments (Skull Disco)

I doubt these would make the list, but I do want to hear:

Victor Manuelle - Navidad en mi Estilo
Gilberto Santa Rosa - Contraste
Marc Anthony - El Cantante

I also want to hear that LeAnn Rimes album, based on "Nothin' Better to Do," although I don't expect to like most of it. And I'm curious about the Boris/Merzbow live CD, but I'm new to Boris (and somewhat new to Merzbow, even though I'm pretty sure I've been hearing bits and pieces of their noise for many years). The Obscure Sound blog has me interested in Mono VCF, but I'm a little suspicious that they would be something that would initially sound interesting but soon lose me.

I can rep for Rihanna, Britney, Block Ice and Propane and the Miles box set; I thought the Jordin Sparks was unlistenable and didn't like the Kate Nash either... though my boss loved it for some reason.

I don't have any waiting list albums that I haven't already checked out out at Soulseek.
