There was *another* new one in 2007!? I remember when Get What You Need came out in 2003, turned out to be ridiculously fantastic, and hardly a word about it. And now, just as the year's about to end, I find out they put out another new one in 2007. What the hell is wrong with people? (Or does it really suck?) I haven't seen a peep about this here or anywhere else in the US. "Unavailable for download in your country" says eMusic. Bastards. And *nothing* on Pitchfork?
In the process of finding out if it's worthwhile, but this is crazy.

jesus, i had no idea. no feargal though. what the fuck is the point? sadly, i stop at manic pop thrill and the assembly single. but those were both great!

is there a thread devoted to positive touch? there should be. there is so much going on in that album.

Scott, I would have thought the same thing, but the guy they got to replace him does an incredible job. Sounds just enough like Feargal that it's comfortable, but doesn't overdo the impression. I was really pretty shocked last time around. Xpost.

Bunch of videos of the new band on Youtube...doing a lot of old stuff and some new. I can't find Shut Down, though, which was my favorite track off of the 2003 CD.
I kind of like this one because you can't see the band so well, so have to go by sound...

I'm still trying to find somewhere to buy "Dig Yourself Deep" for a reasonable price (stupid weak dollar), but in the meantime managed to google a page that had a pre-release of the whole thing for free download. Anyway, it's only been a day, but the overlooked-ness of this album *really* confuses me now.
I'm not sure it's quite the bolt from the blue that 2003's "Get What You Need" was, but it's definitely very good, and there are no duds to my ears. Better than a good 70 to 80% of what I've heard this year, at the very least.
Also I relistened to Get What You Need a few times today: any Undertones fan who hasn't heard "Oh Please" is seriously, seriously missing out.

I've heard this record a few times, and I LOVE it!! Really, a great pop-punk album, strangely not reminds me to the greatest Undertones moments, but it's good in a different way. All the songs clocking at 2:00, good melodies, I really love it, shame, that no one cares about it!
