that is, worth nine dollars at the local record store? I understand Greensleeves is a pretty classic label in general but what I don't know about ragga/dancehall would fill a big warehouse.

I don't have it (don't have any LPs actually--just a singles collection floating around and whatever's on various comps and what not) but it's probably worth a flyer on ($9 might be a little price-y, but it depends where you are.) I think that's his first record that has some digital riddims (and it might be his first non-"Junjo" Lawes record too.) Around '85 he was still pretty much king of the dancehall so there is bound to be some great stuff on there.

Definitely a fan of the digital riddims, Sly and Robbie are in the credits too so there's that.

Good album. I was going to say that $9 is a little steep, but Amazon can't do better. These were his best years and this is one of his best during the period. "Beat It" is about Michael Jackson; "Reggae Get the Grammy" is about a new Grammy category for reggae albums; "Blow Saxophone" is not about playing the saxophone.
