A close call between "Birdland" and "A Remark You Made" for me, but picking the latter for the wonderful interplay between Zavinul and Pastorious.

Black market.

Though I must say this is a pretty shitty best of!

Forecast tomorrow is much more comprehensive.

(yes I know one is 1 CD and the other 3).

Mysterious Traveller was the last WR I could listen to. They became so much Jazz Passengers or Tribal Tech to me after that. But from that lp, Cucumber Slumber is the one I'd probably vote for.

I went for Boogie Woogie Waltz ftw.

Boogie Woogie Waltz.

No "Nubian Sundance" no etc. etc.

(yes I know one is 1 CD and the other 3).

A box set or something then?

Anyway, this is one of very few of their acts that Sony have yet to make a 2 CD "Essential" compilation of. That would probably have been the ideal format.

No "Nubian Sundance" no etc. etc.

It has those two famous and marvellous "Heavy Weather" tracks and that's enough for me. Maybe I should have made a "Heavy Weather" poll instead? ;)

Looks like a box set. Not like there's nothing wrong with basing a poll on a box set, but....

Geir, we need to get you some good I Sing the Body Electric for 2008! (heh heh heh)

Actually, you might like "Second Sunday in August" on that one...

For me, Weather Report start with "Mysterious Travel". What went before that was just "Bitches Brew"-like noise.

It also seems that "Forecast Tomorrow" box is pretty much useless, as it doesn't contain "A Remark You Made".

I guess that rather says it all, doesn't it. (if) BB = Noise, (then) I don't know = what to say to you.
