wanko ergo sum, Sunday, 6 January 2008 20:28 (eighteen years ago)

You spelt the Ashra album wrong.

Noodle Vague, Sunday, 6 January 2008 20:30 (eighteen years ago)

i feel no shame about not listening to captain beefheart.

xpost okay, if we're nitpicking: laughing stalk?

grimly fiendish, Sunday, 6 January 2008 20:31 (eighteen years ago)

STOCK whatever I haven't heard it

wanko ergo sum, Sunday, 6 January 2008 20:35 (eighteen years ago)

Do you feel ashamed about that?

Noodle Vague, Sunday, 6 January 2008 20:36 (eighteen years ago)

lol this album was better when it was Laughing Stalk

wanko ergo sum, Sunday, 6 January 2008 20:37 (eighteen years ago)

does nobody else think "laughing stalk" sounds like some essex-wanker euphemism for a cock? (cf gigglestick)

grimly fiendish, Sunday, 6 January 2008 20:44 (eighteen years ago)

everyone should own a copy of blackout!

moley, Sunday, 6 January 2008 21:03 (eighteen years ago)

I bought DI Go Pop because of ILM. Don't feel bad about not hearing it.

milo z, Sunday, 6 January 2008 21:03 (eighteen years ago)

spirit of eden

J0rdan S., Sunday, 6 January 2008 21:20 (eighteen years ago)

I have not heard Pet Sounds. Came close last year, but iTunes would accept my gift card.

bendy, Sunday, 6 January 2008 21:29 (eighteen years ago)

would not

bendy, Sunday, 6 January 2008 21:33 (eighteen years ago)

If "Musica Has The Right To Children" sounds anything like "Music Has The Right To Children" then I guess it's worth a listen.

Geir Hongro, Sunday, 6 January 2008 21:37 (eighteen years ago)

I feel about the same way. Will listen again some time.

sonderangerbot, Sunday, 6 January 2008 21:37 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Monday, 7 January 2008 00:01 (eighteen years ago)

I know someone who went as that Scorpions cover for Halloween.

Pillbox, Monday, 7 January 2008 00:51 (eighteen years ago)

The Reverend, Monday, 7 January 2008 01:10 (eighteen years ago)

stephen, Amazon has DI for $12 or $8 for AmazonMP3.

milo z, Monday, 7 January 2008 01:17 (eighteen years ago)

"Shame" hahaha. The most I will cop to is vague curiosity about those Talk Talk albums.

Myonga Vön Bontee, Monday, 7 January 2008 06:53 (eighteen years ago)

thanks for making me check the ashra

elan, Monday, 7 January 2008 06:55 (eighteen years ago)

haha I was listening to Blackouts today! well the Lotus song anyway. i've been wanting to snip it and put everything from the 9 1/2 minute mark onward onto a mixtape but it's probably good i haven't done so.

You Made Me Realise EP One album I am most ashamed about not having heard of
then again I like loveless but i don't quite get all the ga-ganess over it, i'll get to the rest of their stuff when i get to it.

tremendoid, Monday, 7 January 2008 07:53 (eighteen years ago)

what milo said about di goes pop. not my thing.

tremendoid, Monday, 7 January 2008 07:54 (eighteen years ago)

I have only heard one record by Boards of Canada, theone in the Peel Box. I rather liked it.

OK, put me down for "Melodica has the righto to Kids" one.

Mark G, Monday, 7 January 2008 10:39 (eighteen years ago)

only heard the last 3 in full but have heard most of the DI and the MBV EP. the Talk Talks are the ones i'd be most likely to listen to next.

blueski, Monday, 7 January 2008 11:48 (eighteen years ago)

I am ashamed to not have any idea which album "Blackout" is supposed to be.

I've heard all the others apart from Music Has The Right To Children & the Talk Talk ones. I suppose I ought to listen to the Talk Talk albums at least. I only know their early stuff.

Colonel Poo, Monday, 7 January 2008 11:56 (eighteen years ago)

Out of these, I've only heard Music Has the Right to Children. (Unless "Blackout" refers to the Method Man & Redman album, which I also own.) I'm not ashamed of that though, because besides the Slick Rick album everything else seems to be the sort of indie hipster stuff I'm not interested in.

Tuomas, Monday, 7 January 2008 12:00 (eighteen years ago)

I've heard the seven that aren't shit. I am not ashamed.

Ioannis, Monday, 7 January 2008 12:03 (eighteen years ago)

D. I. Go Pop

OK, for my benefit, you'll have to change the title of this poll to "One album you are are most ashamed about not having heard of"

Tom D., Monday, 7 January 2008 13:59 (eighteen years ago)

Seriously listen to Blackout right now.

I know, right?, Monday, 7 January 2008 14:54 (eighteen years ago)

you are mean :(

Colonel Poo, Monday, 7 January 2008 15:19 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

ILX System, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 00:01 (eighteen years ago)

no no no, listen to BLACKOUTS by ASHRA

elan, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 03:50 (eighteen years ago)

I can say definitively that I have not heard any of these albums. Now, what do I win?
