The Darren records were classy, The Silent Enigma is a doom metal classic and A Natural Disaster is brilliant. But I went for Eternity, turning point for the band and great all-round album.

the 'crestfallen' ep aaall the way. i wish i could get into the post- darren white stuff, but it just doesn't click with me.

i still haven't heard a natural disaster. i'm a bad fan :(

i love pentecost III and serenades and the silent enigma a bunch and i love a fine day to exit as well. but i gotta vote for JUDGEMENT JUDGEMENT JUDGEMENT. seriously, one of my favorite albums of all time. in any genre. i love it beyond words. the greatest gothic doom album that pink floyd never made. i've listened to it AT LEAST a hundred times.

I think i've heard the pink floyd one you mention. death/doom was never my thing but possibly id like it now.

i mean i'd maybe like the older stuff that was death/doom.
he pink floyd one was quit good. I remember at that time a lot of heavier bands started talking about Radiohead and i think they were one of them.

'eternity' was when they started doing that pink floyd thing. it had the cover version of 'hope', with a guest appearance by roy harper and so on. it was something that was sort of 'in the air' in the mid-90's. tiamat started taking a similar direction with 'wildhoney', which came out a year or two ahead of 'eternity. i think it was their 'gaia' ep that had a cover version of pink floyd's 'when you're in' on it.

wildhoney, again, one of my favorite albums of the 90's. those guys were speaking my language. Judgement is just great all around. Great songs, musicianship, production, vocals. it has it all. and it can be heavy when it wants to be. way better than any radiohead album i've ever heard :)

Crestfallen - that was a real paradigm shift.

Silent Enigma is the only one I have and it is amazing.
