streamed from rhapsody, which is downloaded and bought in a way:

matthew dear - asa breed(2007 - mellowish electronic pop) pretty ok, don't like the album version of 'don & sherri' at all but 'deserter' makes up for it
kraftwerk - autobahn(i don't know the genre, it's kraftwerk!)- ya heard
joe williams - music for lovers (2007 compilation, vocal jazz/pop)- smoothest dude ever wtf

Linda Clifford & Curtis Mayfield - The Right Combination
Grace Jones - Inside Story
Digital Underground - Sex Packets

Tuomas, Thursday, 10 January 2008 09:17 (eighteen years ago)

All were bought used from the same record store. I was especially happy of finding the first two, because I'd never seen them in sale anywhere. The Grace Jones album hasn't even been reissued since it came out, I think.

Tuomas, Thursday, 10 January 2008 09:24 (eighteen years ago)

Move - Shazam (new CD edn)
Moby Grape - s/t (new CD edn)
Pillows and Prayers 3CD+1DVD box (online, not arrived yet)

Wasn't that taken with the Moby Grape, after all the raving about it I'd read, it seems dull. Still prefer "Oar" so thereyergo.

Mark G, Thursday, 10 January 2008 09:27 (eighteen years ago)

radio slave - misch masch : 2 cd set, one mix, one remixes. excellent overview of electronic dance/minimal/techno stuff.
rekids - one : 2 cd set of the first 10 12" that Rekids label have releasesd. electronic dance.
the trentemoller chronicles - 2 cd set, one mix, one remixes. gorgeously deep ambient techno.

loving it all i have to say.

mark e, Thursday, 10 January 2008 09:30 (eighteen years ago)

xpost - yeah I've always been slightly underwhelmed by the 1st Moby Grape album. Mind you it's great compared to some the horror that's contained on their later albums.

Pillows and Prayers - there looks to be some interesting stuff on CD3 - those Reflections, Nightingales and Five Or Six tracks are pretty great. But, since I have the 2CD version already, I'll be passing on this one.

Anyway last 3 I bought :

Free - Walking In My Shadow (2CD best of)
Pretenders - Learning To Crawl Reissue
V/A - You Got Yours (East Bay Garage 65-67 on Big Beat)
