da croupier, Friday, 18 January 2008 17:17 (eighteen years ago)

feels so weird not being able to vote for "fishing" or "cool"

da croupier, Friday, 18 January 2008 17:18 (eighteen years ago)

"Fishing" even has a video! I didn't realize they never threw it on an album.

da croupier, Friday, 18 January 2008 17:18 (eighteen years ago)

what a fucking awesome band

M@tt He1ges0n, Friday, 18 January 2008 17:20 (eighteen years ago)

Fishing is on TOSSING SEEDS: DA SINGLES

which to me is the best Superchunk LP

dmr, Friday, 18 January 2008 17:21 (eighteen years ago)

"New Low" is pretty rad, I forgot about that one

dmr, Friday, 18 January 2008 17:21 (eighteen years ago)

Stop washing me away...

Steve Shasta, Friday, 18 January 2008 17:23 (eighteen years ago)

Too many to choose from but I'll take Package Thief just because of the great video with the puppets. Love those puppets.

hugo, Friday, 18 January 2008 18:07 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, I can't think about this too hard because there are too many great ones, but I'll go with "Package Thief" as well because it always come to mind when I think of single random Superchunk song I'd like to hear right now. It never fails to satisfy.

matt2, Friday, 18 January 2008 21:12 (eighteen years ago)

detroit can has skailine ftsmackdown

Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved, Friday, 18 January 2008 21:17 (eighteen years ago)

NU BRUISES (yeah really)

nabisco, Friday, 18 January 2008 21:22 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, loved that whole album nabisco

matt2, Friday, 18 January 2008 21:24 (eighteen years ago)

I voted for "Driveway to Driveway" which probably won't get many votes but I love that opening riff, and it's so gorgeous when the chorus comes in; not sure if it's multitracked Mac or if it's another voice, but it sounds so huge. I love that song "Foolish" which sounds just like this too, on Incidental Music.

If we were including Incidental Music then I'd vote for "Shallow End" (also would vote for it for official ILM anthem)

Euler, Friday, 18 January 2008 21:29 (eighteen years ago)

every ILM thread should be about Superchunk

Mr. Que, Friday, 18 January 2008 21:37 (eighteen years ago)

every superchunk song should be about ILX

69, Friday, 18 January 2008 21:40 (eighteen years ago)

woah^^

Mr. Que, Friday, 18 January 2008 21:42 (eighteen years ago)

HWTS suffers from side 2 syndrome

Mr. Que, Friday, 18 January 2008 22:06 (eighteen years ago)

more like DOWNS syndrome ho snap

69, Friday, 18 January 2008 22:07 (eighteen years ago)

i always think ppl sleep in incidental music, i think it's as good as tossing seeds if not as legendary

M@tt He1ges0n, Friday, 18 January 2008 22:09 (eighteen years ago)

i listen to it more than tossing seeds but i think its slightly worse? so i mean, i basically agree

69, Friday, 18 January 2008 22:12 (eighteen years ago)

I think jess and miccio came to the conclusion on some thread once that Foolish is the emo choice, and I agree with that.

Alex in Baltimore, Friday, 18 January 2008 22:17 (eighteen years ago)

I think Incidental Music is their best album, almost every track is a killer, starts and ends ridiculously high.

Foolish sags in the second half but the first half is fabulous.

Euler, Friday, 18 January 2008 22:57 (eighteen years ago)

The cover of On the Mouth is ugly. Also, the picture of Laura on the back is really unflattering.

I couldn't decide on what to vote for but I kinda miss 1992.

fffv, Saturday, 19 January 2008 01:55 (eighteen years ago)

I bought this cd at the mall. It was in a longbox.

fffv, Saturday, 19 January 2008 02:04 (eighteen years ago)

Oh -- The First Part

Andy K, Saturday, 19 January 2008 02:18 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Wednesday, 23 January 2008 00:01 (eighteen years ago)

No Pocky for Kitty is the twee choice

wanko ergo sum, Wednesday, 23 January 2008 00:06 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

ILX System, Thursday, 24 January 2008 00:01 (eighteen years ago)

pretty agreeable top 5 there

electricsound, Thursday, 24 January 2008 00:14 (eighteen years ago)

Where wuz "Cadmium"?

mulla atari, Thursday, 24 January 2008 00:52 (eighteen years ago)

That's on Incidental Music, which wasn't included on this poll.

Savannah Smiles, Thursday, 24 January 2008 01:07 (eighteen years ago)

i forgot to vote, and i would have voted for either driveway to driveway or the first part.

scott seward, Thursday, 24 January 2008 01:55 (eighteen years ago)

Many people forgot to vote, it seems.

SeekAltRoute, Thursday, 24 January 2008 02:03 (eighteen years ago)

detroit has a skyline winning in 3 way tie for second

Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved, Thursday, 24 January 2008 02:18 (eighteen years ago)

Surprised "Throwing Things" didn't rank higher.

Alex in NYC, Thursday, 24 January 2008 19:23 (eighteen years ago)

I, too, would have liked to have voted for "Cadmium", had I been inclined to have voted in the first place.

contenderizer, Friday, 25 January 2008 21:37 (eighteen years ago)

No Pocky for Kitty is the twee choice

this is some crazy bullshit

Mr. Que, Friday, 25 January 2008 21:40 (eighteen years ago)

If I'd seen this, I would've voted for "June Showers," because Come Pick Me Up is the only Superchunk album I own.
