This album has been in my constant rotation for at lest a year now, and since I haven't found mention of them here I thought they should be heard. It's an equal draw from Blind Willie Johnson, the Gun Club, and Burzum, swampy and bareknuckled, and if you think blues rooted music has been trampled underfoot and beaten into the ground, then get a gander at its frightening, reanimated remains. At the very least it's a greater mash-up of black metal and rock 'n roll than the Cult Is Alive.
